VIOLENT CRIMES
Any crime involving violence can be severely punished in Oklahoma. State law harshly penalizes criminal actions that result from harm inflicted on others. Frequently, violent crimes are charged as felonies, and prosecutors seek the maximum penalties when the alleged victim is either injured or killed—even if the injury or death was unintentional.
